Corten interprets the layered patina of weathered steel through a hand-finished concrete surface. Burnt orange, deep brown and charcoal tones move irregularly across the form, creating the depth and warmth of metal gradually transformed by exposure.
The character of Corten lies in its tonal movement. Warm rust shades, darker traces and irregular transitions create visual depth without obscuring the architectural form of the planter.
Its weathered surface works naturally alongside concrete, dark steel, stone, smoked timber and restrained architectural finishes. The result feels expressive yet grounded — a sculptural object shaped by material, colour and contrast.

Dark metal, natural stone, smoked timber and controlled light create a refined setting for Corten. Its oxidised tones introduce warmth and irregularity while preserving the strength and precision of the architectural composition.
Against exposed concrete, open structures and restrained industrial materials, Corten feels naturally integrated. The rust-toned finish adds colour and material depth without disrupting the honest, architectural language of the space.
Charcoal walls, deep timber and muted stone intensify the warmth of the oxidised surface. Focused light reveals copper undertones, darker markings and layered transitions, giving the planter a strong sculptural presence.
The Corten surface is intentionally layered and irregular. Soft daylight reveals transitions between rust, umber and charcoal, while directional light emphasises darker traces and the depth of the hand-applied finish. Its appearance shifts subtly throughout the day, echoing the changing character of naturally weathered steel.
Every Corten planter is formed and finished by hand. Variations in shade, tonal intensity, markings and oxidised transitions are intentional elements of the finish rather than imperfections. Their arrangement develops individually on each piece, making every planter visually unique.

Lasting beauty begins beneath the surface. Every Donizza.art planter is engineered for long-term indoor and outdoor use, combining traditional craftsmanship with advanced material technology. Its layered construction, reinforced concrete body and protective coatings are designed to withstand moisture, frost and changing weather conditions while preserving the planter’s refined proportions and distinctive finish.
The structural body is created using GRC technology (Glassfibre Reinforced Concrete). A specially developed concrete composite is reinforced with alkali-resistant glass fibres and structural mesh, creating a strong yet relatively lightweight shell with enhanced resistance to cracking and mechanical stress.
Each layer is applied by hand onto a negative mould in our workshop. This controlled, multistage process allows us to achieve slim, elegant walls without compromising structural integrity.
The finished surface is protected with a hydrophobic coating selected for the specific decorative finish. It reduces water absorption, limits dirt penetration and makes everyday care easier, while preserving the natural depth, texture and tonal variation of the material.
The coating does not conceal the surface. It protects its individual character, including the subtle irregularities that make every Donizza.art planter unique.
The interior is sealed with Ceresit CR 90, a professional mineral waterproofing slurry with crystalline properties. The coating forms a durable protective barrier that limits the penetration of water and soil moisture into the concrete structure.
By reducing prolonged moisture saturation, the internal insulation supports the planter’s resistance to freeze–thaw cycles and helps preserve its structural integrity throughout successive seasons.
