Architectural Minimalism
In precise, restrained interiors, Cemento becomes part of the architecture. Its mineral surface creates a subtle counterpoint to smooth stone, glass, metal and monochromatic walls.
Language
Cemento explores the restrained beauty of architectural concrete. Subtle tonal variations, delicate pores and a softly mineral surface give the planter a calm yet distinctive presence. Raw in origin, precise in execution.
The character of Cemento is defined by restraint. Its surface does not compete with the surrounding interior. Instead, it introduces depth, material honesty and a sense of architectural permanence.
Clean proportions allow the planter to work as a sculptural element in spaces shaped by concrete, natural stone, glass, steel and carefully selected timber. It is particularly suited to interiors where form, texture and spatial balance matter more than decoration.
Three architectural contexts that bring out the restrained character of the collection.
In precise, restrained interiors, Cemento becomes part of the architecture. Its mineral surface creates a subtle counterpoint to smooth stone, glass, metal and monochromatic walls.
Concrete, blackened steel and industrial details gain balance when combined with timber, warm textiles and soft light. Cemento preserves the loft character without making the space feel severe.
Against natural timber, linen, muted fabrics and sculptural greenery, the cool mineral character of concrete becomes softer. The result is contemporary, tactile and deliberately understated.
Cemento is intentionally nuanced rather than perfectly uniform. Natural daylight reveals its soft tonal transitions, while directional light emphasises pores, traces of hand finishing and the mineral depth of the surface. The planter changes subtly throughout the day, without losing the clarity of its form.
Every Donizza.art planter is formed and finished by hand. Variations in shade, texture, pores and surface markings are natural characteristics of architectural concrete and the artisanal process. These subtle differences give each planter its own identity.

Lasting beauty begins beneath the surface. Every Donizza.art planter is engineered for long-term indoor and outdoor use, combining traditional craftsmanship with advanced material technology. Its layered construction, reinforced concrete body and protective coatings are designed to withstand moisture, frost and changing weather conditions while preserving the planter’s refined proportions and distinctive finish.
The structural body is created using GRC technology (Glassfibre Reinforced Concrete). A specially developed concrete composite is reinforced with alkali-resistant glass fibres and structural mesh, creating a strong yet relatively lightweight shell with enhanced resistance to cracking and mechanical stress.
Each layer is applied by hand onto a negative mould in our workshop. This controlled, multistage process allows us to achieve slim, elegant walls without compromising structural integrity.
The finished surface is protected with a hydrophobic coating selected for the specific decorative finish. It reduces water absorption, limits dirt penetration and makes everyday care easier, while preserving the natural depth, texture and tonal variation of the material.
The coating does not conceal the surface. It protects its individual character, including the subtle irregularities that make every Donizza.art planter unique.
The interior is sealed with Ceresit CR 90, a professional mineral waterproofing slurry with crystalline properties. The coating forms a durable protective barrier that limits the penetration of water and soil moisture into the concrete structure.
By reducing prolonged moisture saturation, the internal insulation supports the planter’s resistance to freeze–thaw cycles and helps preserve its structural integrity throughout successive seasons.
